EDXRF Instrument
EDXRF is stand for Energy Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence and can be used to qualify and quantify element rangefrom Na to U in the sample.
EDXRF System
Fusion Machine/Pressed Pellet
For solid sample powder. it is necessary to convert the powder form to pellet form. This is to make the sample surface smooth.
Standard Calibration EDXRF

Like others instrument, calibration is needed for quantitative analysis. standard calibration will be perform using Standard Reference Material (SRM). For liquid calibration, serial SRM calibration must be prepared like other instrument like AAS and ICP. For solid form, there are many way to calibrate the instrument. The method that can be use for example is Standard Addition method, digestion, spike and SRM in solid form. SRM in solid form must be prepared in serial concentration e.g. 0%, 1%, 2%, 4%, 6% 8% and 10% of element interested. After we obtain the calibration and then only we can do quantitative analysis.
